Why Our Shopping Cart?
For over 50 years we have enjoyed our visits to God’s Land. As we have taught God’s Word, we have seen the need to have some tangible reminders of the various events and experiences in the life of our Lord. We first visited Bethlehem in 1959, and saw the beautiful hand carved art work in olive wood. Since that time we have returned often to enjoy the art work, and beauty of the olive wood. We know of no wood more beautifully grained. Many of the pieces are from trees that are hundreds of years old.
Background: Olive wood was the most prevalent tree of Jesus’ day, and the tree on which He laid down His life for us. Its grain and artistic design can bring the Biblical events to life in your own home.
Events and teachings from the Scriptures and Jesus’ life, when carved in olive wood by committed artisans, become personal treasures. Each piece is a keep-sake of beauty and will encourage Bible based dialogue with friends and family, who see them. These art treasures can be used to initiate “teachable moments”, based on God’s Word, for your children, grandchildren, and friends. Long after we are in Eternity, these olive wood carvings will become a treasured heirlooms to be shared with your family. Weekly I stop to admire my collection of carvings, and am reminded of the Biblical events, and God’s faithfulness to His People Israel. I rejoice that we have been “adopted” Galatians 4:5, as followers of Christ, to be Children of God. Praise Him!
Olive wood for everyday, practical use…
Some of the olive wood items are for practical use, as they were in Jesus’s day. Thus, we offer some household items, but when used in kitchen or home, become items of beauty and conversation. When I use them for cooking or for serving a salad, I always notice the natural grain of the wood, and am reminded of the beauty of what God has done, with the unique olive tree.
Coming Soon…a DVD Study/Seminar on The Jewishness of Jesus…
We are adding DVDs on The Jewishness of Jesus (a 26 part study course, interpreting Jesus life from His First Century Jewish background). This course may be used by serious Bible students, to alert our hearts to new and refreshing approaches to “traditionally interpreted ” Scriptures. Our purpose is to place Jesus and His teachings in their First Century Jewish context. We hope to have this DVD set by the end of 2011. We encourage this study course for Bible students of all ages, pastors, lay pastors, teachers, house churches, Sunday School classes, church training classes , ladies and men’s Bible studies, and for a Bible college course (classroom, or on-line). The DVD set can be accompanied by the outline in Power Point. The presentation will be by lecture, map studies, and hundreds of unique scenes from Israel (taken over the past 50 years). Your purchases will help support, and supply these studies to pastors and missionaries in other lands, who can’t afford our American prices. This unique Bible study will be a life changing event in your personal Bible study.

Shofars, Tallits…
On this site we are making available shofars (ram’s horns…as used by Jews to call to worship or war from Biblical times til now). Tallits (Jewish prayer shawls) are available to illustrate their use throughout the Bible and especially in the life of our Lord Jesus. When the Jewish Jesus is studied, in the context of His Jewish Tallit, every believer will insist on one. For some it will become your “prayer closet”.
Making The Lord’s Supper even more meaningful…
We have designed a beautiful Tallit as a covering for the Lord’s Supper Table to give emphasis to Jesus command, “This do in remembrance of Me…” To help us recall His crucifixion and the events of the Passover meal and the giving of Lord’s Supper we have added a large Communion Cup and Bread Tray…(both of olive wood from Bethlehem and Jerusalem area). The entire set is reasonable and will enhance the presentation of the Lord’s Supper in any church setting. We will soon be adding a collection of beautiful olive wood carvings based on the “Jesus’ Word Pictures”, including His Parables and Teachings. Each will be a treasured piece, and a collector’s item (similar to “Precious Moments”). Each will have the Words of Jesus, relating to the teaching. These will become unique additions to your study or living area, and will be perfect special gifts for your Christian friends. Many will want to collect every piece, as they are published and released.
